Sickle cell. Relentless pain. Unshakeable faith. I'm Jonathan — raised in Milwaukee in a Christ-centered home, but I came to know Jesus *relationally* when the pain got real. Born with sickle cell anemia, I've lived through the kind of suffering that sends you down dark rabbit holes looking for any way out. What pulled me through? The Holy Spirit taught me piano — one key at a time. From a toy keyboard to playing in churches and hospitals on both coasts. That gift carried me through my worst decisions and into one of my greatest purposes: sitting beside fellow long-term illness warriors and reminding them they're not alone. On this page - as well as in this community you'll find an open, flawed man sharing his story — past battles and present ones. Healing that happens in stages. Transparency that doesn't flinch. Real guidance for the spouse, the parent, the sick believer clinging to God's promises with everything they've got. We're not sprinting here. We're running, walking, tripping, rolling, limping, and falling towards Jesus — moving so slow that anybody can keep up. So join us. Try to keep up. 🙏
