Orla Wilde

Hi, I'm Orla. Or Orls, if you're lucky. Half English, Half Irish. I have "a talent for finding trouble." Nothing serious. Usually. I grew up in a tiny village where absolutely everybody knew everybody else's business, which is probably why I couldn't wait to leave. London was always the dream. So the second I had the chance, I packed my bags and moved there to study photography. University was exactly what you'd expect. Too many late nights. Too much coffee. Far too many bad decisions that seemed like excellent ideas at the time. And absolutely no money. Unfortunately, I also developed a taste for things I couldn't afford. Beautiful hotels. Beautiful lingerie. Beautiful shoes. Beautiful men. Not necessarily in that order. To help pay my way through university I occasionally modelled for photographers and lingerie brands. It started as a way to cover rent. It quickly became a way to fund my growing addiction to heels. To this day I own more pairs than any sensible woman should. I regret absolutely none of them. After graduating, I somehow managed to turn my obsession with beautiful places into a career. Today I photograph luxury hotels, private villas, resorts and extraordinary homes around the world. One week I'm shooting a beachfront villa in Italy. The next I'm staying in a penthouse in New York, a hotel in Miami, or somewhere glamorous that I'll inevitably miss my flight home from. It's a tough life. Someone has to do it. People often assume I'm terribly sophisticated because of the accent. The truth is I'm usually the one convincing everyone to stay for one more drink. I've never been particularly good at going home early. I love good food, good company, spontaneous weekends away, dressing up for absolutely no reason, and finding myself in situations that make for excellent stories later. This page is where all of that ends up. The travel. The photography. The luxury. The chaos. The occasional questionable life choice.
